Nigerian Navy Military School Celebrates Grand Passing Out Parade For Young Sailors 

 

The Nigerian Navy Military School, Ikot Ntuen, Akwa Ibom State has hosted a magnificent passing out parade for its 3rd batch of Young Sailor graduands on Saturday, August 16, 2025.

According to a statement, this landmark event, held at the school’s parade ground, marked an important milestone in the academic and military careers of the graduating cadets.

The ceremony attracted distinguished guests, including Professor Ubong Essien Umoh, the Honorable Commissioner for Education of Akwa Ibom State, who represented the state governor. Also in attendance were Rear Admiral GSM Aligwe, Chief of Administration at Naval Headquarters and representative of the Chief of Naval Staff, the Flag Officer Commanding Naval Training Command, the Commander of Nigerian Navy Ship JUBILEE, the Director of Naval Education, and other notable dignitaries.

In his keynote address, the Commissioner for Education urged the young sailors to uphold the values of their school and state and praised the Commandant and staff for their exemplary dedication and commitment.

Key highlights of the parade included:

The commissioning of a new multi-storey accommodation building for officers, generously donated by the Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State

Presentation of the Champions Banner to the winning squadron include; An impressive March Past:,A Silent Drill Display; An Unarmed Combat Demonstration; Awards presented to deserving Young Sailors and the formal filing out of the passing out batch
