LASTMA Launches Toll‑Free 3367 Short‑Code To Boost Emergency Response
The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) has launched a new toll‑free short‑code, 3367, to strengthen emergency response, improve traffic management and increase public accountability across Lagos State.
The 3367 short‑code replaces the agency’s previous long‑service number with a more accessible, citizen‑focused platform. The service is toll‑free for subscribers on MTN, Etisalat (T2) and Glo, enabling commuters to report traffic incidents without cost.
Through 3367, road users can quickly notify LASTMA about vehicular breakdowns, road traffic collisions, disabled articulated vehicles, stranded tankers, traffic obstructions and other emergencies that require urgent intervention.
The hotline also provides a channel for members of the public to report the conduct and professionalism of LASTMA personnel, reinforcing transparency and service excellence.
To ensure inclusive communication, callers may use English, Yoruba or Pidgin English when contacting hotline operators. LASTMA says this multilingual approach will remove communication barriers, encourage broader public participation and help ensure incident reports are conveyed promptly and accurately.
General Manager , LASTMA Mr. Olalekan Bakare‑Oki described the initiative as a landmark step in the agency’s commitment to safeguarding lives, facilitating vehicle mobility and delivering a more responsive, technology‑driven, citizen‑centred traffic management system.
He said the hotline reflects LASTMA’s determination to apply digital solutions to Lagos’s evolving transportation challenges and to deepen collaboration with road users.
“The inauguration of the 3367 toll‑free short‑code represents another monumental stride towards institutionalizing a safer, more efficient and highly responsive transportation ecosystem across Lagos State,” Bakare‑Oki said.
He assured Lagos residents that reports to the platform would be handled professionally, confidentially and transmitted to the appropriate operational units for immediate action.
LASTMA urged motorists and residents to use the 3367 hotline as a vital tool for improving road safety, strengthening accountability and supporting a safer, more efficient and sustainable transportation environment in Lagos State.
