Apapa Customs Intensifies Efforts For Stakeholders Engagement, Set To Visit NAGAFF

In a bid to promote peace and industrial harmony across Nigeria’s customs ports and borders, the Comptroller General of Customs and his management team have mandated strategic officers to spearhead ongoing reforms.

As part of this initiative, the leadership of the Premier Port has taken proactive steps to realize these objectives. In line with these efforts, the Controller of the Apapa Port Command is scheduled to visit the headquarters of the National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF) for a strategic meeting with its leadership and members.

The visit , according to a statement aims to foster collaboration and ensure that critical stakeholders are actively engaged in the modernization process.

The ongoing customs modernization program is designed to make Nigeria’s ports and borders more user-friendly, competitive, efficient, and revenue-driven.

The reforms are also expected to curb smuggling, facilitate trade, and promote the use of e-commerce solutions within customs operations.

In a statement signed by NAGAFF Secretary General, Fwdr. Godfrey Emeka Nwosu, all young freight forwarders, board members, national executive officers (Western Zone), other stakeholders, and the media are advised to be seated before 12 noon for the meeting.
