NNPP:  Ogun Gubernatorial Candidate Makes Case Domestic Airport, Olokola Deep Seaport Completion

The gubernatorial candidate for Ogun State, under the New Nigerian Peoples Party, (NNPP), Comrade Olufemi Oguntoyinbo Ajadi  has reaffirmed commitment to ensure  completion of the Olokola Deep Seaport and domestic cargo airport in the state if voted into office as governor come 2023.

 

Ajadi who disclosed this on Monday in Lagos, during a courtesy visit to the national secretariat of the NNPP  in Lagos, stated that the much talked Olokola Deep Seaport will come on stream for economy gains when elected.

 

The governorship candidate while highlighting some of his agenda for the state reiterated that the domestic airport will play a significant role to the people of the state when completed if voted into power, noting the domestic airport would attract foreign investment to the state and south west respectively.

He noted that the airport when completed will further address the issue of gridlock along major roads linking towns,cities and villages pointing out that neighbouring southwestern states will be beneficiaries of the projects when completed.

 

The NNPP candidate also lamented that citizens of the state were not enjoying the dividend of democracy stressed that when elected into government  the masses will understand better what it means to benefit from the democracy.

 

Ajadi stated that political office holders have no excuse to fail on their mandates adding that a bill will be promulgated to ensure that politicians deliver on their mandate when elected.

“Am a new Nigeria mandate as we speak. And I will move for the propagation of the new Nigeria of our dream and as such move for all  politicians to sign a bill that will ensure they are held accountable in the court of law and if they fail to deliver on their mandates they should be jailed . So I strongly believe that I will deliver when voted into office.”

The politician who also expressed dissatisfaction over the deplorable conditions of the state roads, lamented that some the failed corridors within the state would top his priority when elected into office in 2023.

He further affirmed the Sango- Ota road should not be politicised by any standard because of its strategic position for investment growth noting that the road was long overdue for construction.

 

 

“By the grace of God,when we come on board next year, that road will be our major project as far road construction is concern because we will use the funds from the state purse to fix that road, then take our fund back from federal purse.

 

The Governorship candidate was accompanied by other political aspirants from Ogun State under the NNPP to the National Secretariat of the party in Lagos.
