Senator Eshilokun Empowers 300 Students with ₦100,000 Grants, Over 1 Millions Books For Lagos Central District

In a vibrant display of political unity at Onikan Stadium on Monday, May 11, 2026, Senator Wasiu Eshilokun Sanni, representing Lagos Central , disbursed ₦100,000 cheques to 300 university, polytechnic, and higher institution students as part of his empowerment program.

The event also saw the distribution of over one million notebooks to primary and secondary students across the senatorial district, boosting literacy and academic access.

Addressing a mammoth crowd, including top All Progressives Congress (APC) stalwarts, Senator Eshilokun reaffirmed his endorsement of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s second-term bid, praising the president’s strides in education and student welfare.

He cited critical national reforms, such as the removal of the fuel subsidy and exchange rate unification, as essential steps that have increased revenue for state and local governments.

He further declared support for Lagos Deputy Governor Dr. Kadiri Obafemi Hamzat as the next governor in the upcoming election, urging constituents to secure voter cards.

“This theme captures the essence of our journey, our commitment to building a future where every child is educated, every community is supported, and every young person is empowered to lead,” Eshilokun reaffirmed.

The 11th Town Hall Meeting, themed “Investing in Education, Community Welfare, and Future Leadership,” highlighted Eshilokun ‘s initiatives since June 2023: grants easing financial burdens for families, notebooks enhancing school performance, and ₦100,000 payouts to 2,000 residents for small businesses and daily needs.
