NDLEA Arrests Warri Kinsman Over Alleged Importation of 414.2kg Cannabis Sativa
Efforts by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) to curb illicit drug trafficking have received a further boost following the arrest of a Warri kinsman over the alleged importation of 414.2kg of cannabis sativa.
The substance is said to be worth over N200 million at street value.
Identified as Emami Ajetsibogho, the suspect was arrested by operatives of the agency attached to the Lagos State Command.
Ajetsibogho, reportedly the younger brother of a controversial Itsekiri leader, was apprehended in Lagos on June 25, 2025, with the substance sealed in sachets of white and black nylon, concealed in several bags.
The Warri South, Delta State-born suspect is said to be highly influential, having reportedly escaped many previous attempts at arrest.

Our correspondent reliably gathered that a former Deputy Governor and APC gubernatorial candidate made frantic efforts to compromise NDLEA officials in a bid to sweep the matter under the carpet and get the suspect off the hook, but these attempts proved abortive.
When contacted, the spokesperson for the Lagos State Command of the NDLEA, Mallum Abdullahi, neither confirmed nor denied the report, stating he was out of Lagos.
Meanwhile, a civil society group under the platform of Concerned Citizens for Justice and Accountability has called on all well-meaning Nigerians, Delta citizens, and security agencies to take keen interest in the matter and demand an immediate, transparent investigation.
The President of the Warri-based organization, Casey Wealth, in a statement said the people deserve to know the truth about the matter, adding that the culture of impunity must end now.
