Troops of 65 Battalion intercepted a truck carrying a large consignment of illicit drugs along the Lagos–Calabar Coastal Road after receiving actionable intelligence from a credible source.

According to a statement weekend, the intelligence-led operation on 9 July 2026 led to the vehicle’s seizure and the arrest of the driver.

The statement noted that preliminary inquiries indicate the consignment was destined for the Berger area of Lagos State; the suspect failed to provide verifiable details about the owner or intended recipient.
