The National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF) has expressed strong commitment to collaborate with critical stakeholders in promoting the potentials of the Marine and Blue Economy
The foremost freight forwarding association also rallied support for the Federal Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy ‘s vision for Maritime industry development.
Fwdr. Godfrey Nwosu, Secretary General NAGAFF, made the association commitment while delivering a goodwill message on behalf of freight forwarders and customs brokers nationwide during the One-Day Citizens /Stakeholders Engagement organized by the Federal Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy.
Addressing Honourable Minister, heads of government agencies, distinguished participants, and members of the Maritime community on Lagos, Nwosu expressed profound appreciation for the Ministry’s initiative, describing it as a landmark event that underscores the government’s commitment to transparency, collaboration, and innovation in Nigeria’s maritime and logistics sectors.
While commending the Adegboyega Oyetola led Federal Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy, the NAGAFF scribe stated that “This gathering is a timely and necessary step toward addressing core challenges affecting trade facilitation, port efficiency, and regulatory synergy,” Nwosu stated.
He emphasized that such platforms are crucial for refining policies, dismantling bottlenecks, and building mutual trust between the government and industry operators.
Reaffirming the freight forwarding and customs brokerage community’s readiness to contribute constructively, Nwosu highlighted the shared vision of a thriving Blue Economy that harnesses Nigeria’s marine resources to foster inclusive growth and enhance global competitiveness.
“The Marine and Blue Economy is the ultimate game changer for our dear country Nigeria,” he concluded, urging all stakeholders to unite and “sail toward excellence.”
The engagement, held on July 3, 2025, brought together key players in the maritime sector to discuss strategies for a resilient, technology-driven, and future-ready maritime economy in Nigeria.
