He gave the directive on Saturday during an emergency meeting held at Police Officers Mess in Makurdi on with Senior Police Officers Area Commanders Tactical commanders and Divisional Police officers (DPOs). where he encourage them to work with other Quasi security outfits within their areas of responsibility while emphasizing the need for community policing.

He reiterates zero tolerance for corruption and all forms of unprofessional conduct, promised to reward police officers exemplary professionalism in carrying out their duties.

According to the statement released by the Command Public Relations Officer, CSP Catherine Anene, says the CP declares his willingness to collaborate with all security agencies, quasi security agencies, traditional rulers, community leaders and everyone in securing the state.

Meanwhile, the Nigeria Police Force says it has continue to record significant achievements through proactive and intelligence-driven policing strategies.

In separate operations targeting criminal elements, the Force has successfully neutralized notorious bandits, recovered firearms and stolen vehicles, and apprehended numerous suspects involved in kidnapping, cultism, and armed robbery.

In a statement, the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, disclosed that the Benue State Police Command recently demonstrated its operational effectiveness in combating banditry on May 3, 2025, as Operatives of the Command confronted suspected bandits from Shitele and Ukum.

The statement added that during the ensuing gun battle near the Tse-Gondo axis, three of the bandits sustained fatal gunshot wounds and were later confirmed dead at the hospital.

The operatives recovered several items from the scene, including two locally fabricated firearms and live cartridges.

In a similar development, operatives of the Delta State Police Command’s CP Special Assignment Team arrested one Henry Okpor, a known serial car snatcher, on April 22, 2025. Recovered from him were a pump-action gun, a Toyota Highlander SUV (Reg. No. RBC-414-BL), and a Hyundai vehicle (Reg. No. LSD-367-DU), suspected to have been stolen.

The Command also made significant progress in its crackdown on cult-related activities. On April 25, 2025, the CP Special Assignment Team apprehended two confirmed members of the Vikings confraternity, identified as Mudiaga Okparume and Arinze Humble. Two Beretta pistols and five rounds of live ammunition were recovered during the operation.

Furthermore, in swift response to a kidnapping incident reported on April 26, 2025, involving two abducted persons in Agbarho, operatives of the Delta State Police Command pursued the suspects to Uvwiama forest in the Ughelli North LGA.

During a decisive operation, the police successfully rescued the two victims unharmed. Nine suspects were arrested, and a substantial cache of weapons was recovered, including three pump-action guns, three double and single-barrel guns, one locally made firearm, and thirteen rounds of live ammunition.

These successful operations reflected the unwavering commitment of the Nigeria Police Force to tackling violent crimes nationwide.
