Chief cook of 7 Nigerian Ex-presidents lives in abject poverty

A 73-year-old man, identified as Ugbaha Mohammed, popularly called Dogo by hos close friends, said to be languishing in abject poverty despite services to seven past presidents.

 

TheStory, which was posted on Due Process Advocates’ information Director, Ifeanyi Calistus, said the man worked in State House Lagos and A30 Rock, Abuja as Chief cook to seven past presidents of Nigeria.

 

He disclosed that Dogo, as fondly called by allies, now lives in ‘thatched room, which was offered him by a Good Samaritan in an Abuja slum.

The shocking revelation, which has left members of his groups (DPA, a human rights group) dumb founded, said the man has nine children, six girls and three boys.

According to the story, Dogo, who struggles to cheapest medical service, served the late Second Republic President, Alhaji Shehu Shagari, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari as head of state.

Others are Gen. Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida, Chief Ernest Shonekan, head of the Interim National Government (ING), the late Gen. Sani Abacha, Gen. Abdulsalami Abubakar, and former President Olusegun Obasanjo.

 

His Post reads: “The story of 73-year-old Ugbaha Mohammed popularly known as Dogo is that of a fall from grace to grass. From the glamour and bliss of the State House in Lagos and A30 Rock, Abuja under seven former Nigerian leaders including military heads of state and civilian presidents, Dogo now lives in a thatched room offered him by a Good Samaritan in an Abuja slum.

“Dogo served three civilian presidents and four military heads of state beginning from the administration of the late Alhaji Shehu Shagari. Despite coming so close to power and fame, he is now dejected because of rejection by his children and other relations as well as the Nigerian leaders he served.

 

“He has Nine children: six girls and three boys. When contacted, Some of his children said they were yet to unravel the mystery behind a man who served seven Nigerian presidents not having a roof over his head and affording the cheapest medical service.
