The Trade Union Congress (TUC) and Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) have ordered all affiliates, including Joint Unions Action Committee (JUAC) members in the Ministry of the Federal Capital Territory (MFCT), to immediately resume work following a marathon conciliatory meeting with the Honourable Minister of FCT, Barrister Nyesom Wike.
This was confirmed in a statement signed by Comrade General NA Toro, Ph.D, mni (Secretary General, TUC) and Comrade Benson Upah (Acting General Secretary, NLC), on behalf of JUAC and MFCT workers.
According to a copy made available to DAILY FOCUS NIGERIA on Tuesday, the meeting, convened at the instance of Senator Mohammed Bomoi, Chairman of the Senate Committee on FCT, began at 11:45 p.m. on February 3 and concluded at 3:51 a.m. after extensive deliberations.
Key resolutions include:All complaints from JUAC members were fully addressed one by one.
The Minister was quoted assuring organized labour of mutual respect and ongoing engagement.
According to the statement, “No worker will face victimization due to the recent strike action.
“All pending cases at the National Industrial Court (NIC) will be withdrawn immediately.The directive emphasized strict compliance to maintain industrial peace and harmony.
