NNPP Expels Sixteen Members Over Alleged  Gross Misconduct, Insists Kwankwaso Expulsion 

Leaders of the New Nigerian People’s Party (NNPP) on Tuesday , disclosed the expulsion of sixteen top members and stakeholders of the party across the country over alleged gross misconduct .

The Party leaders called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to immediately update the record of NNPP on the  new development, even as it insisted the Presidential candidate of the 2023 general elections , Dr. Rabiu Kwankwaso remained expelled .

The decision was taken at a press briefing  held in Lagos, even as the affected  members cut across 8 states and South West officials of the party.
The communique which was read at the conference by the Publicity Secretary of the party, Mr Abdulrazaq Abdulsalam, mentioned those involved in the expulsion as; Dr. Tosin Odeyemi from Osun State, Mr. Peter Ologunokun from Ondo State, Prince Ibrahim Adekunle, Amb. Ajadi Oguntoyinbo, Mr. Olowu Olayemi, all from Ogun State.
Others are: Mr. Kazeem Badmus, Mr. Tunde Oke from South West, Barr. Femi Aina from Ogun West, Alhaji Sidi Bako from Nasarawa, Mr. Solomon Chukwu, Ebonyi State, Hon. Henfort Group from Plateau State.
Rtd. Col. Geoffrey Onyejegbu, PST. Ukachukwu, Stephen Onuigbo from Anambra state and Hon. Rex Onajite Ogboru, Mr. Fred Uwangue from Delta State.
Speaking, at a press briefing  , Chairman, Board of Trustees, NNPP , Dr. Temitope Aluko who spoke on behalf some national officers , explained that the party , in accordance to its constitution and resolution of the National Working Committee with reference to Supreme Court judgment, maintained that Dr. Gilbert Agbo remains the national chairman of NNPP.
Aluko further reiterated that NNPP is the only political party I’m Nigeria that has the right to determine its membership, leadership,officers and candidates.
He also passed vote of confidence on the founder of the Party, Dr. Boniface Aniebonam saying that the original Certificate of Registration of NNPP is with him.
According to him, the founder of the party (Aniebonam) is the only person that can determine if NNPP will further enter into discussion with any other groups for merger noting that NNPP is not in any merger talks or alliance with any individuals, groups or Parties.
“NNPP is not in any merger or alliance talk with any other political party and that whoever discusses merger or alliance with Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso ,the erstwhile presidential candidate who has been expelled from our party does that at his or her own risk.
Speaking further , he added that ” The Original Certificate of Registration of our great party by INEC is with the founder of New Nigerian People’s Party (NNPP) Dr. Boniface Okechukwu Aniebonam and only him and his founding team members can determine discussions with anybody or political party “.
