According to the  newly elected president’s thank you speech, a copy sighted by DAILY FOCUS NIGERIA on Saturday, reads :”Just a few minutes ago, the election result was announced and I was declared the winner. This marks the end of political differences with my opponents.
” Each camp has experienced its highs and lows and I understand how they feel, having experienced both at different times of my life. However, I am glad that it is over as I know we all would work together to build the CIOTA of our dreams.
“When I started this campaign, I had a clear agenda in mind- to create a competitive campaign, that showcases the beauty of this institution. An institution that is populated with professionals from different sectors, itching to contribute to the development of the nation, through the institute.
“I will be the first to admit that the campaign was fraught with many challenges. Truthfully, when I took the first step, I didn’t see the staircase. Each hurdle was a stone thrown at my faith, at the faith of those who believed in my candidacy and at the faith of the team that worked tirelessly to bring this dream to reality.
” I want to use this opportunity to appreciate everyone who stood by me in this journey. My campaign team, my professional colleagues, my co-contestants in my team (the broadest and most diverse) and everyone who has had to take time out of their busy schedule to ensure we didn’t lose faith.
“Yes, we kept the faith and here we are, rewarded with this victory and in the history of this institution, we have been given the highest votes ever to a presidential candidate. For me, it represents a great privilege to be trusted with the highest office of this institute. CIOTANS spoke with a clear voice that they are ready for the implementation of THE STATEMENT
“The statement, the title of our manifesto, represents our compass to navigate the desired paths of relevance, increase and prosperity. It is hinged on three cardinal features which include a Ten Year Strategic Development Plan for CIOTA, Recognition and Acceptance of CIOTA Certification and Promotion of Global Best Practices in the Transportation Sector
