We Have Spent No Less Than N920m In The Management Of Covid-19 Pandemic — Katsina Gov’t

Katsina State Government said it has spent no less than N920m in the management of Covid-19 pandemic from its inception in the state.

 

The state government also received a donation of no less than N700m from philanthropists and good willing people of Katsina State and beyond for the same purpose.

 

This remarks was made by the state Covid-19 Emergency Rapid Response Committee Chairman, QS Mannir Yakubu who also doubled as the Katsina State Deputy Governor during the flag-off of distribution of relief materials to vulnerable people in the state donated by Coalition Against COVID-19 (CACOVID).

QS Mannir Yakubu also highlighted that the state had so far recorded 746 positive cases and 24 deaths.

Yakubu, who is also the state deputy governor, added that 705 patients had so far been discharged, while 17 patients are receiving treatment.

 

Earlier, Governor Aminu Bello Masari, who flagged off the distribution of the items Wednesday, said the items would provide the needed succour to vulnerable households across the state.

 

He explained that 67,106 most vulnerable households have been earmarked to benefit from the humanitarian gesture by the CACOVID.

According to the governor, each beneficiary would receive 10kg of rice, maize, 5kg of sugar, two cartons of pasta and 1kg of salt respectively.
