Reactions Trail NAGAFF Palliative, As NAFFAC Rejects 50,000 Donation
Reactions have continued to trail it’s donations barely 24 hours licensed customs agents group rejected the offer, as the National Association of Freight Forwarders and Air Consolidators (NAFFAC) has asked the National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF) to direct its palliative offer to the right people.
Recall the NAGAFF had offered the Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) a sum of N100 thousand naira, while other four associations including National Council of Managing Directors of Licensed Customs (NCMDLCA), Association of Registered Freight Forwarders in Nigeria (AREFFN) and NAFFAC were give N50 thousand each.
Reacting to the development, the President General of NAFFAC, Prince Bakare Adeyinka said that NAGAFF should have targeted the people who really need such fund, most especially the less privileged in the society who needs such palliative during the period of the COVID19 pandemic ravaging the world.
While appreciating the gesture, he stated that NAGAFF should have known that the association is dominated by those who are well to do and do not have to rely on the magnanimity of a sister association to survive.

In a statement sent to our correspondent in Lagos, the association said, “Our attention has been drawn to a publication go round on so many online platform and news media about palliative sent to to some agencies and associations in the maritime circle.
“NAFFAC was named as one of the beneficiaries of the said palliative.
“We want to thank NAGAFF for the thought to bring out that much during this season and to remember us as part of the beneficiaries but we will advise that such should be channelled to a proper place that’s is more needed as NAFFAC as always been known to house those who are okay and contented with what they have.
In similar vein, the Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents yesterday rejected same offer extended to it by NAGAFF as palliative for the lockdown.
ANLCA had enjoined the sister association to use the fund to make its secretariat more habitable.
