Members of staff , National Broadcast Academy (NBA), have showered encomiums to honour the outgoing Head of Department, HOD, Journalism, Barrister Abiodun Olowu as he retires from service.
During a Valedictory event organized by the Management of the NBA, the Director Academic Planning, Pastor Ayodele Aliyu described Barrister Olowu as a collector with an intellectual embodiment.
In a statement on Thursday, December 15th 2022, Mr. Aliyu wished the outgoing HOD well and prayed that he would continue to make impact wherever he goes.
Also speaking at the event, the Registrar of the Academy, Mrs. Bukola Adedeji expressed optimism that Barrister Olowu would continue to contribute his quota to the Journalism profession.
Describing him as a free-spirited fellow, the Acting Bursar of the school, Mrs. Kemi Idowu said the few encounters she had with Barrister Olowu were very pleasant and thought provoking.
Barrister Olowu was presented with gifts from the management of the NBA and the Journalism Department.
Receiving the gifts on behalf of Barrister Olowu, the Acting head of Department, Journalism, Mr. Festus Alikwe thanked the management and staff for the honour.
The event was attended by Heads of Department and other members of staff of the Academy.
