CILT Lagos Branch Re-Elects Ambi As Chairman

The Chartered institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) Nigeria,  Lagos State Branch has reelected Comrade Bashir Ambi as it’s chairman.

Ambi was reelected alongside other state executives of the institute even as the election for eight positions was conducted in a free and fair democratic manner, even as the winners were declared by the electoral committee chairperson Mrs Juliana Saka.

 

In his acceptance speech, the Chairman, Mr. Bashir Ambi-Mohammed, FCILT, thanked members for the trust bestowed on them and promoted on behalf of the new executives not to fail but to add value to the Institute.

Bashir also thanked the leadership of the CILT Nigeria for helping the branch in all ramifications.

 

He however expressed happiness over the attendance recorded during the elections (which was observed hybrid) he commended the Electoral Committee for the good job.

He further requested that members should not hesitate to correct them whenever we are not doing the needful, because we are human, and we are not perfect, nor the best amongst the members.

Those elected are to serve for a period of 2-year. The elected executives are: Mr Bashir Ambi-Mohammed,FCILT Chairman, TPL Soledotun Abdulkarim-Yusuf  – Vice Chairman and Mr Aina Akinbola – General Secretary.

Others are Mr Bright Itua – Assistant General Secretary, Mrs Ngozi Umoh – Public Relations Officer, Mrs Oladipo Funmilola Roseline – Welfare officer, Mr Onumiah Kevin – Financial Secretary, Mrs Nwosu Justina Uchechukwu – Treasurer.

Following this, the newly elected officers took an oath of allegiance as provided by the CILT constitution and were inaugurated.

Earlier , at the swear in ceremony  the new executive officers, the Chairperson of the Electoral Committee,  urged them to discharge their functions with utmost commitment.
