Usman Dan Fodio Students Protest In Sokoto Over Ruga Suspension

Placard carrying Students from Usman Dan Fodio University (UDUS) Sokoto, took to the streets to protest over the suspension of the planned RUGA settlement for Fulani herdsmen across the country.

The placards were with inscriptions written in Hausa, Fulfulde and English.

Some the placards had inscriptions like “Please Give Us RUGGA”, I Stand With RUGA”, Emen Nod dija Rugga den ledi men, Rugga Amfanin Mu CE Mu Duka etc.

Recall that the Federal Government recently  suspended  Ruga settlement project, following outright rejection in some parts of the country.

The students of Usman Dan Fodio University (UDUS) Sokoto called for the implementation of the RUGA settlement as they took to major highways of Sokoto metropolis to protest today, July 13, 2019.
