LASTCOC Boss Alhaji Lukmon Praises Dr. Dantsoho’s Landmark Election As IAPH Vice Presidency

Alhaji Shittu Lukmon, Chairman of the Association of Maritime Truck Owners (AMATO) Lagos State, has extended his warm congratulations to the Managing Director Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) Dr. Abubakar Dantsoho over his successful election that saw him becoming the Vice President International Association of Port and Harbour (IAPH) in Africa.

 

Lukmon who is also known as Zangalo praised the MD of NPA ‘s commitment to workers’ welfare and port operations,thus expressed optimism about enhanced collaboration between truckers and maritime stakeholders under the MD ‘ s new leadership roles .

Lukmon who doubles as the Chairman , Lagos State Truck and Cargo Committee (LASTCOC), stated that the maritime haulage operators will work closely with him to promote a friendly and conducive port industry.

In his congratulatory remarks, Lukmon acknowledged Dantsoho professionalism since becoming MD of NPA in port operational activities adding that truckers have continued to experience a conducive environment .

He pointed out  that the appointment would further create an avenue for better haulage operations within the maritime space.

With the new appointment , the trucker urged the NPA boss to prioritize inclusiveness and transparency to strengthen the position at international level to boost maritime trade and haulage business in line with logistics chain supply .

Lukman described the appointment as well-deserved recognition, which according to him, is a testament to Dr. Dantsoho’s outstanding leadership, dedication, and significant contributions to the maritime industry.

“We are confident that under his visionary guidance, the Nigerian ports and the broader African maritime sector will continue to achieve remarkable growth and international collaboration. Congratulations once again on this prestigious achievement!”, he stated .
