Merchant Navy Union Congratulates Comr. Oniha Erazua on Confirmation As MWUN Secretary General

in solidarity support, the Nigeria Merchant Navy Officers and Water Transport Senior Staff Association (NMNOWTSSA) has officially congratulated Comrade Oniha Erasua on his well-deserved confirmation as the substantive Secretary General of the Maritime Workers’ Union of Nigeria (MWUN).

In a letter signed by Comrade Elder Aleakhue John Okpono, Secretary General of NMNOWTSSA, warm fraternal greetings were extended alongside commendations for Comrade Oniha’s appointment. The letter highlighted Oniha’s extensive experience of over three decades in unionism as a key factor underpinning his confirmation.

Described as a disciplined, punctual, and team-oriented leader who takes no for an answer, Comrade Oniha is praised as an achiever with a proven track record. The letter expresses confidence that under his leadership, MWUN is set to experience “tremendous and unspeakable growth.”

NMNOWTSSA further pledged unwavering support to Comrade Oniha and expressed optimism about the positive impact his tenure will have on advancing the maritime industry.

The association concluded by wishing him a smooth and successful tenure as MWUN’s Secretary General, urging him to “keep the flag flying.”.
