NWC Reconfirms Dr. Aniebonam As Chairman Board Of Trustees Of NNPP, Confirms Kwankwaso’s Expulsion

 

The National Working Committee (NWC) of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) over the weekend , reconfirmed Dr Boniface Aniebonam as Chairman , Board of Trustee (BOT) and life member of the Board .

This decision was reached at the 25th Regular Board Meeting held in Lagos.

The Board also resolved to reinstate Dr. Agbo Major as the leader of the National Working Committee (NWC), reaffirming confidence in his leadership.

Dr. Agbo Major, National Chairman , NNPP on Friday, November 8, 2024, said key resolutions were passed to strengthen the party’s structure and advance its mission

The resolutions signed by the Major Led NWC also passed a vote of no confidence against the Zonal Chairmen of North East and South West, reflecting the party’s commitment to accountability and effective governance.

The resolution also confirmed waivers for elected representatives, even as the Board approved waivers for elected representatives across all levels who demonstrate interest and commitment to the party’s development.

Meanwhile, a motion was passed, urging the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to follow court orders and revert to the party’s original logo .

“These resolutions demonstrate the NNPP’s dedication to internal reform, accountability, and progress. The party remains committed to its objectives, including upholding the constitution, ensuring protection of lives and properties, and promoting social justice,” the resolution added .

Meanwhile , the National Working Committee (NWC) of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) has ratified the expulsion of Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and the Kwankwasiya Group from the party following the recent judgement of the Abia State High Court.

Abdulsalam Abdulrazaq, National Publicity Secretary, NNPP Headquarters, Abuja made this known in a statement made available to journalists after the emergency meeting held at the Rockview Hotel, Apapa, Lagos.

The statement reads in part: “The National Working Committee (NWC) noted with concern the recent visit of Sen. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso (an expelled former presidential candidate of NNPP) to the Governor of Abia State, His Excellency Alex Otti on Saturday 9th November 2024 as invalid and deceitful

“The attention of the NWC of the NNPP has been drawn to the introduction of Sen. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and the Kwankwasiya group members that accompanied him to Abia state government house as members of National Executive of the NNPP as an act of irresponsibility and impersonation forthwith.

“We hereby reiterate that Sen. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso was long expelled from our party”.
