NSML , Ship Owners , MWUN , Others To Headline AMJON Annual Finance Conference

NLNG Shipping Management Limited (NSML) is set to headline the Annual Finance Conference organised by the Association of Maritime Journalists of Nigeria (AMJON) is set to hold on Thursday, 22nd August, 2024 at Sheraton Hotels and Suites, Ikeja.on Thursday, 22nd August, 2024.

Other critical stakeholders like the Maritime Workers’ Union of Nigeria (MWUN), and Nigeria Ship Owners Association (NISA) among others will also be in attendance.

According to a statement on Tuesday, by the Secretary of AMJON,Segun Oladipupo , top officials of the Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy, heads of maritime agencies, private and public sector operators will meet with commercial banks, lending agencies, financial institutions insurance companies at the event slated to hold by 10:am.

The Annual event is billed to bring together ship owners, terminal operators, freight forwarders, stevedore, boat operators , among other business owners in the maritime industry will connect with financiers to discuss ways to make funds available for the growth of their businesses

The avenue affords both the government and private organisations the opportunities to seek funds from financial institutions on upgrading business as well as government agencies to seek ways to get funds to upgrade the facilities in the port

“This initiative will provide a platform for the ministry of Marine and Blue Economy to discuss ways to sourcing for funds for port rehabilitation

“If well harnesses, the conference will not only have created a veritable platform for Maritime infrastructure development, it will help to create more jobs in the country.

“At the Conference, NLNG Shipping Management Limited (NSML), commercial banks, lending institutions are expected to deliver papers in business opportunities for prospective and existing business owners.

“The NSML is a key player in the Maritime and oil and gas sector.

Recall that the government at both state and federal levels have called on Nigerians for diversification of businesses in order to meet up with the present realities in the country.

The MD, of NSML, Mr Abdulkadir Ahmed shall be on ground to address and provide detailed insights into NSML operations and services

The MD of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Dr. Abubakar Dantsoho, NIMASA DG, Dr. Dayo Mobereola, President General, Maritime Workers’ Union of Nigeria (MWUN), Comrade Adewale Adeyanju, among other others will grace the Conference.
