It is no longer news that there was an epoch making ceremony yesterday at Isaac Boro Park where the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Rivers State, received chieftains and key officers of the opposition All Progressives Party (APC), African Action Congress (AAC) and other political parties in Rivers State.

While receiving the returnees, the State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Rivers State,  His Excellency, Ambassador Desmond Akawor explained that the sinking ship of the APC is being abandoned because every true Nigerian that is seeing the failure of the government at the centre, will not remain in a party that foisted such disappointment on Nigerians.

He said Governor Nyesom Wike has proved what pragmatic leadership is, in fulfilling the covenant he made to Rivers people and salvaged the party when it was necessary.
