BREAKING: Seafarers Union Loses Ex- Secretary General, Comrade Julius Efokpor

The immediate past, Secretary General, Nigeria Merchant Navy Officers and Water Transport Senior Staff Association , Comrade Julius Efokpor is dead.
Efokpor died on  Tuesday 10th August 2021 in Delta State.

 Deputy President of the Nigeria Merchant Navy Officers and Water Transport Senior Staff Association ,  NMNOWTSSA,
Comrade Boniface Akwubor, in a commiseration letter made available to DAILYFOCUS NIGERIA on Wednesday , expressed sadness over the death of the ex- union scribe.

Akwubor lamented that the former Secretary General of the NMNOWTSSA would be remembered for his doggedness in union activities and communication skills adding that the seafaring fraternity will greatly miss him.
 
 
The statement with title reads in full” THE EXIT OF AN ICON IN OUR UNION STRUGGLE.
“We received with rude shock the sudden  demise of the immediate past secretary General of our Association, Comrade Julius Peter Igho  Efokpor .
“Until his death our dear late  Comrade was an Icon of intellectuality and astute Comrade of  a modern trade union movement .
“We will miss his wealth of  proficiency in the art of outstanding industrial correspondence.
“He had served the association meritoriously & his contributions to the growth of our union will continue to  remain ever Green in our memories. We have loss a genius elder statesman.
“Our condolences to his family and loved ones.
“The association is currently  saddened with the rude shock of the death  especially at this time of our immense growth when his advise is mostly needed. In deed, we have loss an asset.
“We sincerely pray God to give his gentle soul eternal rest in Christ Jesus and also grant the family, loved ones and the association the fortitude to bear the loss.
” The Association will continue  to maintained a constant communication with the family as the burial planing arrangement unfold.
 
Late Efokpor is survived by wife and children brothers and sisters.
