VREG: Finance Minister Unveils National Vehicle Registry Platform

Finance Minister, Mr. Wale Edun on Tuesday, unveiled the National Vehicle Registry (VReG), describing it as a landmark initiative in Nigeria’s journey towards economic stabilisation.
The Minister said the platform marks a pivotal shift in using technology for efficient revenue collection and enhancing public services.

Edun noted that VReG is set to bridge critical gaps in vehicle information, linking to global databases for seamless international connectivity.
According to him , the strengthen trade facilitation and law enforcement adding that it will also boost revenue generation for the government.
He said:” This move is not just about revenue—it’s about strengthening law enforcement and trade facilitation.
