SALLAH: Merchant Navy Union President Prays For Nation’s Prosperity

The National President of the Nigeria Merchant Navy Officers and Water Transport Senior Staff Association (NMNOWTSSA) Chief Engineer Bob Joseph Yousuo, has prayed for all muslim brothers and sisters in the struggle, as well as the entire Nigerian workforce, a happy Sallah.

A statement by Comrade (Elder) John Okpono Aleakhue, Secretary General, NMNOWTSSA made this known in a statement on Thursday.

Chief Yousuo called on Nigerians to also embrace dialogue as the best way to resolve differences.

The seasoned seafarer opined that Islam is a religion of peace and therefore calls on everyone to embrace peace as we celebrate Sallah.

As a gesture of love, he also encouraged the Muslim faithful to celebrate within the ambit of the law, without causing harm to themselves nor their neighbours.

The unionist prayed that the joy that comes with Sallah continues to dwell in the maritime industry, seafarers’ and in every homes, In sha Allah.

The national President urged all muslims to remember the nation in their prayers as the best sacrifice for the country, Nigeria, and to pray against all antisocial vices.
