The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG),Christ The Light Teen Church , has announced plans to host year 2020 holy Ghost Service with theme “The Splendour of His Light’.
According to organisers of the programme which is billed for January 10th 2020, the inspiration for the programme was drawn from the book of Habakkuk 3:4, even as great men of God will be on ground to enlighten and educate teenagers about Christ , family , technological society, peer groups and current situation of the world.
Victor Essien , President of RCCG Christ The Light’ Teens church , in a chat with newsmen on Wednesday in Lagos, affirmed that the year’s service would bring about God’s manifestation to his children.
Essien said: ” For us in RCCG Christ the light teens church, we move as God speaks,at the start of last year God told us of the need to have a revival service,thereafter we began preparations and consequently we were given the theme,the splendour of his light coined from Habakkuk 3:4
“From the visions God has given us concerning the program we expect a massive manifestation of his power and a great outburst of hunger in the lives of all who will be present .
“From the verse from which the theme was coined “The light of God represents a place in God where his power is hidden.
He noted that year 2020 has been marked out as a year of the manifestation of the power of God pointing out that ” the program is strategic in that it will help us position ourselves properly for the coming season.
‘We know the program is going to birth a great increase in passion and hunger for God in the lives of every teenager present on that day,”he added.
Asked about future programmes for the teenage department, the President reiterates that “It depends on what God wants;Last 2 years we hosted a praise night,last year we didn’t have any and this year we will be hosting a holy ghost service. As God speaks we follow”,he added.
The holy ghost service will feature Pastor in charge Comforters Assembly , Lagos Province 38, Pastor , Muyiwa Matilukuro as special guest minister.
Other guests include: Pastor Femi Lazarus and Chigozie Anyanwu.
