NNPP Fixes January 20 For National Convention In Lagos

 

The New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) has disclosed plans for a new date for its forthcoming events.

 

To this end, the political party announced changes of the dates and venue for its upcoming National Convention and congresses.

According to a statement on Tuesday, the  update follows a notification letter previously sent to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in accordance with the Abia State High Court judgement, Suit No HUZ/11/2024.

In an official letter addressed to the Chairman of INEC, Dr. Boniface Okechukwu Aniebonam, Chairman of the NNPP Board of Trustees, detailed the revised schedule. The National Convention is now set to take place on January 20, 2025, at Rock View Hotel, Apapa, Lagos State, from 9 PM to 6 AM.

The updated dates for the congresses are as follows:Ward Congress: January 13, 2025
Local Government Congress: January 15, 2025, State Congress: January 16, 2025
Zonal Congress: January 17, 2025.

Dr. Aniebonam expressed regret for any inconvenience caused by these changes and emphasized the importance of INEC officials’ presence to observe and monitor the events. “The NNPP looks forward to the participation and oversight of the commission to ensure a smooth and transparent process.

“For further details and updates, stakeholders and party members are encouraged to stay informed through official NNPP communications.”
