NAGAFF Chief Commends Comptroller Onyeka At Tin Can Command Over Stakeholders Engagement

The Secretary General, National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF) Comrade Godfrey Nwosu has commended the Area Controller,Tin Can Island Port Command Nigeria Customs Service NCS, over his open door policy and stakeholders engagement.

Nwosu made the commendation during a chat with DAILY FOCUS NIGERIA in Lagos.

The NAGAFF chieftain stated that the Area Controllers who was deployed to Tin can command barely three months, has continued to hit the ground running in revenue generation, national security and trade facilitation.

According to him , Comptroller Onyeka has a long standing pedigree at Tin can Island Port even before the current deployment and rank, pointing out that the association will continue to support him to achieving success.

He noted that :”So far so good Comptroller Onyeka is doing wonderfully well at Tin Can Island Port Command. Immediately he was handed the baton and being decorated as Area Controller,he hit the ground running.

“Onyeka has opened the doors for stakeholders partnership. He operates an open door policies whereby he engaged stakeholders whenever matter affecting trade arises.

Nwosu who was a former Scribe at Tin Can Island Chapter of NAGAFF further expressed optimism that the revenue target set aside by management of customs for the command will be surpassed by the administration of Comptroller Onyeka, pointing out that stakeholders will continue to rally support for him to achieving results.

While highlighting the sudden drop of importation of drugs importation to the seaports mostly as it affects Tin Can Island Port Command, Nwosu described Onyeka as an INTERPOL office whose network cut across the globe – hence, has been able to ensure sanity against the backdrop of drugs and arm imports to Nigeria.

However, the NAGAFF Chief further advised the Controller to ensure effective communication system between stakeholders and officers of the command, urging him to keep operators abreast about the new policy directives from the government as at when necessary.
