Maritime Workers Union Celebrate Taiwo Adeleke Over Promotion As Commissioner Of Police

After contributing to the security   of the nation’s seaports in Lagos State, the Maritime Workers’ Union of Nigeria (MWUN) on Wednesday, honoured the newly promoted Commissioner of Police, CP Taiwo Adeleke to a luncheon in Apapa.

The dogged officer was recently promoted to the enviable position of the Nigeria Police Force NPF.

Adeleke, until his promotion was a Deputy Commissioner in charge of Operations at the Western Port command in Lagos.

CP Adeleke who has since been posted to Force Headquarters in Abuja, resumed at the Western Port Command as an Assistant Commissioner of Police.

He was later promoted to Deputy Commissioner and eventually, Commissioner of Police.

 

He served under the current Commissioner of Police, Western Port Authority, Jonathan Towuru.

MWUN treated Adeleke to a sumptuous meal for his doggedness and effective policing of the port during his days as senior police officer of the port.

MWUN boss, Comrade Adewale Adeyanju had at a meeting recently, lauded the port Police Command for improved policing of the port saying that the era of thuggery and rampant port disruption had been curtailed by the command.
