ITPN Commends Customs Over Appointment Of Maiwada As Spokesman

The President of the Institute for Tourism Professionals of Nigeria (ITPN), Chief Abiodun Odusanwo has congratulated CSC Abdullahi Aliyu Maiwada over his appointment as the National Public Relations Officer of the Nigerian Customs Service, describing the appointment as well deserved.

In a letter of congratulations to CSC Maiwada, copy of which was made available to newsmen in Abuja, Chief Odusanwo observed that the appointment of Maiwada to the exalted position of the National Public Relations Officer was a testimony of his pedigree and track record of excellence as a consummate season officer of high repute in the Nigerian Customs Service, and urged him to bring his wealth of experience to bear in the discharge of his duties as demanded by the new office.

Chief Odusanwo noted that the Inter-Ministerial Organizing Committee of the National Tourism Transportation Summit and Expo of which Maiwada is a Member, and the Institute for Tourism Professionals of Nigeria, have full confidence in Maiwada to perform creditably well in his new appointment which was approved by the Comptroller General of NCS, Rtd. Col. Hameed Ali.

While wishing the new National Public Relations Officer of the Nigerian Customs Service God’s guidance in the discharge of his duties, Chief Odusanwo said the country looks up to him for better image laundering for the Nigerian Customs Service and better service delivery for the good of the national economy.

Maiwada was appointed on Monday by management of the Nigeria Customs Service .

The Comptroller-General of Customs Col. Hameed Ibrahim Ali (Rtd) approved the appointment of Maiwada as the National Public Relations Officer of the Nigeria Customs Service.

He took over from Comptroller Timi Bomodi who has since been redeployed to Kiri-Kiri Lighter Terminal (KLT) Area Command as the Customs Area Controller.
