DESOPADEC: Commissioner Denies Knowledge Of Protest Against Appointment

The newly sworn-in Commissioner representing the Ijaw Ethnic Nationality in the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC Dr. Paul Bebenimibo on Wednesday , denied knowledge  of any protests against his appointment into the DESOPADEC Board.
Dr. Bebenimibo made the assertion in an interview with newsmen shortly after being sworn-in with other members of DESOPADEC Board in Asaba.
Dr. Bebenimibo  said,”I came from Oil Producing Community. I will make sure we plan with them to execute programmes that will improve their lives and pull them out of poverty that we find ourselves in Ijaw Oil Producing Communities.”
He however assured Ijaw people in the various Ijaw Communities of better representation.
According to Bebenimibo, “I believe am going to deliver according to the policy of Delta State and work with the governor in line with his programmes.”
Dr. Bebenimibo also promised to give education in Ijaw Oil Producing Communities a top priority just as he said he will provide the needed infrastructures that will encourage learning and teaching in the areas.

Dr. Bebenimibo also thanked God and Jesus Christ through the Delta State Governor, Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa for the opportunity to serve in DESOPADEC Board.
