Okowa Tasks Army Chief To Intensify Efforts In Resolving Frequent Dispute

The Delta State Government on Monday, tasked the Nigerian Army to intensify efforts in resolving frequent dispute between farmers and herders across the state .

Governor Ifeanyi Okowa,stated this during the official inauguration of the 63 Brigade Headquarters of the Nigerian Army in Asaba.

According to the official Twitter handle of the state government @DSGovernment , Okowa commended the Nigerian Army for cooperating with security agencies in tackling the security challenges in Delta State.

He said:”I thank the Chief of Army Staff for bringing this Brigade to Delta State; I thank your officers who have cooperated with other sister security agencies in the State in helping us achieve the peace we enjoy in Delta,” Okowa said.

“I urge the Army and other security agencies to intensify efforts in resolving frequent dispute between farmers and herders across the state in order to help us achieve peace,” Governor Okowa said.
