Buhari Orders PTF On COVID19 To Shop For Madagascar Antidotes

President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 to airlift the organics syrup from the self-proclaimed Madagascar antidotes for coronavirus .

The Nigerian President also gave a clear instructions that the proclaimed remedy must be subjected to the standard validation process for pharmaceuticals.

Boss Mustapha, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, stated this at the daily briefing of the task force, which he heads.

He said Madagascar donated some of the products to Nigeria through Guinea-Bissau and arrangements were being made to pick them up.

Mustapha said the president directed that the products be subjected to validation process after they have been picked up.

According to tweets from Covid-19 Presidential Taskforce the SGF says:” Mr President has given instructions for the airlifting of Nigeria’s allocation of the Madagascar #Covid19 Syrup; also given clear instructions that it must be subjected to the standard validation process for pharmaceuticals; there will be no exceptions for this. ”

SGF added that on Madagascar #Covid19 Syrup: Madagascar has made allocations to various countries, & sent them to Guinea Bissau.

” We‘re supposed to make arrangements to freight Nigeria’s allocation from Guinea Bissau; it‘ll be subjected to the standard validation process for pharmaceuticals.

SGF: Nigeria has only one National Response to the #Covid19 pandemic. Where there are differing Strategies is in the implementation of non-pharmaceutical interventions.

“But as far as the (Health) Response is concerned, there is only one National Response.”
