AMATO Lagos State Chairman Congratulates Newly Elected President Of Dockworkers, Comrade Agboola

Alhaji Shittu Lukmon, Chairman of the Association of Maritime Truck Owners (AMATO) Lagos State, has extended his warm congratulations to Comrade Bolaji Agboola on his successful election as President, Dockworkers Branch,Maritime Workers’ Union of Nigeria (MWUN)

Lukmon also known as Zangalo praised Agboola’s commitment to workers’ welfare and expressed optimism about enhanced collaboration between dockworkers and maritime stakeholders under his leadership.

In his congratulatory remarks, Lukmon acknowledged the challenges facing transporters and dockworkers, including issues of equity and fair representation that had surfaced during the election period. He urged Agboola to prioritize inclusiveness and transparency to strengthen the union’s position in the maritime industry.

Lukmon who doubles as the Chairman , Lagos State Truck and Cargo Committee (LASTCOC)
stated that the maritime haulage operators will work closely with him to promote a friendly and conducive port industry.

The AMATO Chairman emphasized the importance of maintaining peace and democratic principles within the union. He encouraged all members to rally behind Agboola’s leadership to ensure collective progress and stability in the dockworkers’ community.

Lukmon, reiterated that AMATO will continue to ensure robust working relationship with MWUN mostly as it concerns Dockworkers Branch adding that Comrade Bolaji Agboola has what it takes to promote peace and harmony in the port industry.

He noted that Agboola emergence as President of Dockworkers signifies a new chapter of hope and collaboration for dockworkers and maritime stakeholders alike
