The Police in Ovwian/Aladja Divisional Headquarters in collaboration with local Vigilantes in Udu Local Government Area of Delta State have gunned down a yet to be identified bandit
They also recovered a locally made cut to sized gun from the hoodlum in Orhunwhorhun Community.
The incident occurred on 16th Tuesday July,2019.
It was learnt that the Police moved into the area while acting on information about a robbery incident.
The suspected armed robbers allegedly opened fire on the policemen who also engaged them(suspected armed robbers) squarely in an exchange of gunfire.
In the process, one of the suspects fell as result of the superior fire power of the gallant policemen.
Contacted, the Delta State Commissioner of Police, CP Adeyinka Adeleke confirmed the report saying,”It’s true.”
Meanwhile, the Communities in Udu have started jubilating on the arrival of the crime fighting Divisional Police Officer, CSP Anieteh Eyoh to their area.
