The Port & Terminal Management Academy of Nigeria (POTEMAN) has called on stakeholders across the maritime, logistics, and supply‑chain sectors to its Portpreneurship Conference 2026, Corporate Awards and Young Port and Terminal Practitioners Competition scheduled for 27–28 August 2026 in Lagos.
The two‑day event, which opens daily at 10:00 a.m., will bring together distinguished fellows, full members, associates, graduates, students, captains and industry leaders, as well as policymakers, academics, entrepreneurs, investors, young professionals and members of the press, the academy said in a statement signed by its Vice Chairman, Sir Dr. Henry Muogho.
According to the statement, under the theme “Portpreneurship 2026: Unlocking the Potentials in the Port, Logistics, Maritime and Supply Chain Industries,” the conference is designed as a strategic platform to examine emerging opportunities, challenges and innovations across the sector.
Organizers said the programme will promote port entrepreneurship, investment, innovation, job creation and improved competitiveness for Nigeria’s maritime and logistics ecosystem.
High‑level keynote addresses and technical paper presentations, Interactive panel discussions with industry experts and practitioners will be the hallmark of the event.
The Vice Chairman emphasised that the conference is intended to build stronger partnerships and develop practical solutions to advance Nigeria’s position as a competitive maritime and logistics hub.
“Portpreneurship is about transforming challenges into opportunities, ideas into enterprises and professional knowledge into sustainable economic value,” he said.
POTEMAN official urged government agencies, terminal operators, shipping companies, freight forwarders, logistics firms, port service providers, financial institutions, investors, academic institutions, professional bodies, technology companies and the media to participate actively.
