Nigeria Boosts AfCFTA Momentum With New Sub-national Planning Committee Launch
The Acting National Coordinator of the Nigeria African Continental Free Trade Area ( AfCFTA) Coordination Office,Mrs. Mrs. Patience Okala has joined the inauguration of the Planning Committee for the AfCFTA P3 Subnational Engagement today at the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment.
Chaired by the Ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Ambassador Nura Abba Rimi, the event gathered Directors from the Ministry and members of the Central Coordination Committee for AfCFTA Implementation.

These representatives from key Ministries, Departments, and Agencies are focused on delivering effective AfCFTA benefits across Nigeria.
After a briefing from the Secretariat on the AfCFTA P3 Subnational Engagement and upcoming tasks, Ambassador Rimi officially launched the Planning Committee.
He urged members to prioritize strong inter-MDA collaboration, aligning efforts with President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda to realize Nigeria’s AfCFTA goals.
The Nigeria AfCFTA Coordination Office pledges continued partnership with stakeholders to foster inclusive subnational engagement and harness AfCFTA opportunities nationwide.
