Profile Of Rear Admiral Chiedozie Okehie, 43rd Flag Officer Commanding Eastern Naval Command   

Rear Admiral Chiedozie Donald Okehie was born on 14 July 1972 and  hails from Imo State

 

He was admitted into the prestigious Nigerian Defence Academy Kaduna in 1990 as a member of 42 regular course .

 

The senior officer has earned a variety of degrees including a Bachelor of science  degree in Chemistry, a Masters degree in Defence Studies,  a master of Philosophy in Security and Strategic Studies and currently pursing a doctorate in Intelligence and Security Management.

 

He has attended several military courses including ; The junior and senior staff courses at The  armed Forces Command and Staff College jaji,

 

Advanced Command and Staff Course in the United Kingdom and

The Strategic and Management Course at the  National Defence College Abuja

 

The Admiral has served onboard several ships and establishments and has held several appointments including

 

Officer in Charge POUNCER (Port Security Operations  ECOMOG Liberia)

Pioneer Commanding Officer NNS CENTENARY , Commandant  Nigerian Naval College, Commander NNS VICTORY

He was the Director Lesson’s Learnt at the Naval Headquarters ,

Director Project Implementation Monitoring and Evaluation at the Naval Headquarters

And currently the Flag officer Commanding Eastern Naval command

 

The Admiral was a member of key committees including Member Total Spectrum Maritime Strategy Committee Co-opted member of the Presidential Committee on the Review of the outcome of the Maritime Sector Retreat 2012.

And Member National Maritime Security Strategy Draft Committee in 2023 amongst others

 

He is a recipient of the following awards

The Command at Sea Badge award

Chief of the Naval Staff Commendation Award amongst others

 

The very senior officer is Married and the union is blessed with 3 children.

His hobbies include, playing golf, Reading and Watching Football.
