In a spirited appeal to the Director-General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), the Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN), led by the President General Comrade Francis Bunu Abi, has passionately reignited the urgent demand for the establishment of an International Transport Workers Federation (ITF) Seafarers and Dockworkers Recreation Center at a prime location in Apapa.

Highlighting the critical need for a dedicated space where seafarers can unwind, rejuvenate, and enjoy quality recreational facilities upon arrival ashore, Comrade Bunu emphasized that such a center would be a game-changer for the welfare of seafarers operating at Nigeria’s bustling seaports.
