Broadcast Academy Declares Batch C Basic Courses Open, Frowns At Names Mispronouncation On Air

Participants of National Broadcast Academy, NBA, 2023 Basic Courses, Batch C,   have been assured of a conducive learning environment to make their training experience seamless.

The assurance was from the Director-General of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, FRCN, Dr. Mansur Liman who was represented by the Director of the Academy, Mr. Danladi Kwache during the opening ceremony of the Batch in Lagos.

Mr. Liman frowned on the trend at which presenters mispronounce names and noted that there was need for broadcasters to do proper research before going on air.

In a remark, the Coordinator of Academic Planning Committee and Head of Department, Presentation, Mr. Segun Akioya urged the trainees to be open minded and attentive towards learning as the Academy has robust academic curriculum they would need to go through, in order to be successful in the programme.

Mr. Akioya said diligence and discipline was needed to sail through the various courses within the Academy.

Speaking, the Head of Department, ICT, Mr. Lanre Odukoya called on the students to ensure they complete their online registration via a link to enable them have access to their results at the end of the programme.

Also, the Acting Registrar , Mrs. Grace Oluwayemi, represented by manager, Administration Department, Mrs Anthonia Enwose advised the students to submit their registration forms in order to be considered bonafide students of the NBA.

Contributing, the Director Physical Planning, Prince Eugene Duru called on the participants to maintain proper hygiene, and to use the school facilities carefully.

In an address, the Interim President of the NBA Alumni, Ms. Sylvia Roli-Atche urged the students to commence their search for internship and to liaise with the school’s Alumni liason office for assistance.

The Ceremony was attended by Heads of the various departments and lecturers.
