14 YEARS AFTER: MOL Charisma Refloated After Grounding In SE Asia

Fourteen years after she sank, Container vessel, MOL Charisma has been successfully refloated following a grounding between Vung Tau, Vietnam and Singapore.

 

Ocean Network Express (ONE) said the 2007-built, MOL Charisma had run aground on 5 July evening while sailing from Vung Tau to Singapore.

ONE said in a customer advisory, “We are currently waiting for the vessel owner’s assessment of the vessel condition and will advise further regarding her schedule and cargo arrangements once more information is available.”

The container line said the vessel was successfully refloated on the morning of 6 July. They were no injuries or oil spill as a result of the incident.
