Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State onย Monday,ย inspected Philip Maken Road & linked at Karewa Masakare, which covers about 2.5km awarded by his Administration in 2020, on the reason why the road was not advancing as expected, and find out that somebody has built a house illegally on the road which has stopped the contractor to make progress on the work.
The Governor revealed that what induced him to visit the site was the report given that someone had encroached the land by 4m beyond his plot.
According to a statement, the Governor stated that Government will no longer tolerate lackadaisical attitude or behaviour from anybody but will take serious measures against perpetrators of such acts for the overall interest of the people and the State.
Fintiri said the Government has no choice but to demolish any illegal structure on the governmentโs layout as it is set to construct more roads network, particularly in the state capital.
He expressed shock at the manner and approach some people constructed buildings hence blocking Government routes, epigram that his administration will not dither to take any excessive action to create accessibility.
The governorย reassured the good people of Adamawa that his administration will continue to make people smile by yielding infrastructure and their welfare a priority with the resources of the State.
Fintiri was taken around the project by Commissioner and Permanent Secretary Ministry of Works and Energy, Adamu Atiku Abubakar and Engr. Suleiman Mohammed.
The Governor was accompanied to the inspection by SSG Mallam Bashir Ahmad, Chief of Staff Government House ,Prof. Maxwell Gidado among others.
