Water Transportation Moves To Alimosho LGA , As LASWA Takes Possession Of Jetty
Waterways transportation would likely commence operations within Ayobo axis of Alimosho Local Area in Lagos state , findings have revealed .
DAILYFOCUS NIGERIA, gathered that the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure, Lagos State has officially handed over the Ijon Ferry Terminal in Camp Davis, Ijon-Ayobo, to the Lagos State Waterways Authority (LASWA) for effective monitoring and enforcement of boat operations.
The Ijon Ferry Terminal in Camp Davis, Ijon-Ayobo, Alimosho Local Government, is now officially handed over to LASWA, thanks to the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure, Lagos State.
The Ferry terminal boasts excellent road connectivity, a secure floating pontoon for passenger safety, and ample space for a convenient park and ride system.
The Lagos state government it was learnt has promised the general public that the facility will soon be open for operations.

Residents of the surrounding communities have expressed satisfaction over the development , saying that the move when completed will help speed up transportation of passengers via the waterways to the island on time.
A cross section of residents of the surrounding communities who spoke with DAILYFOCUS NIGERIA commended the Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for the innovation to extend waterways transportation to northern part of the state.
