VIO To Impound Vehicles Without Inspection Certificate
The Ogun State chapter of Vehicle Inspection Office has threatened to impound vehicle operating across the state without inspection certificate.
The Chief VIO in the state, Gboyega Ademehin,called on vehicles owners to take part in the computerised inspection exercise hence their vehicles will be impounded.
Ademehin said the exercise was part of the efforts to reduce accidents on the roads in the state.
He explained that the inspection certificate would be used to determine vehicles that are safe to move on the roads.

Ademehin added that the service would not take it lightly with whoever fails to do vehicle inspection, adding that serious sanctions await offenders.
Ademehin who spoke during the commissioning of the Ogun computerised Vehicle Inspection Service, held on Friday at the VIO operational headquarters in Quarry, Abeokuta, added that “We are going to take drastic sanctions and action against anyone that does not have inspection certificate.
“It is a must for any vehicle that wants to move on Ogun roads to do vehicle inspection, so as to know if the car is safe to move on those roads.”
He further maintained that the service would begin enlightenment programme to sensitize the public on the importance of having their vehicles inspected.
