US. Group Condemns Killing Of Female Cop, Says NPF Lacks Capacity To Fight Crime

The Gbaaloo Nyo- khana in the United States of America – a social cultural Organization has condemned in strong terms the killing of a female police inspector Mrs. Christiana Erekere , attached to Taabaa Divisional Police Station on April, 29, 2024 while on official duty.

This was made known in a statement jointly e-signed by the Chairman outreach committee ,Gbaaloo Nyo- khana USA, Mr. LeBari Legah Nzidee .

The statement tasked the police high command to carry out thorough investigation to unravel the circumstances surrounding the broad daylight killing of the late police inspector.

The group further described the death of the officer as a slap to the face of the force noting that the action has exposed the police inability to fight crime.

“The association and the entire Ogoni people extends its deepest condolences to the family and friends of the deceased Ogoni police officer during this difficult times.

“We therefore called on the police high command to carry out a thorough investigation to unravel the circumstances surrounding the open daylight of the killing of the late police inspector.

It noted that Gbaaloo Nyo-khana in the United States of America will be focusing her searchlight on the police high command to ensure that the killers of this officer are prosecuted and brought to justice .

“We want to assure the public that the Association will adopt every legal measures against the Police authority if the killing of the police officer is just swept under the carpet as done in previous matters.

The Association observed that it was a slap on the police authority that her officer on duty was killed in the front of the Police Station, thereby exposing their inability to fight crime.
