Update On MV Shanghai Eagle: Officials Unveil Crew’s Health Declaration Status
Officials from the Nigerian Port Health Services have unveiled the health status of 21 crew onboard MV Shanghai Eagle, from Spain which had berthed at the Greenview Development Nigeria Limited (GDNL) terminal ,Lagos Ports Complex (LPC) two days after the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency NIMASA raised the alarm of 13 vessels arrival to the nation’s seaports from high risk countries of COVID19 cases.
According to documents obtained by Dailyfocus Nigeria on Monday, exclusively revealed that the crew aboard the gypsum product laden vessel ,were thoroughly screened by officials of the Health department without any suspected cases of COVID19.
Aside the observations and health questions posed to the ship Captain and others, there were no suspected cases of the Coronavirus on board.
According to the International Maritime List Crew, all crew on board the ship hail from the
Philippines while the documents made available to our correspondent in Lagos revealed that the vessel is from Marshal Island.
Meanwhile, further checks revealed that the vessel has Captain Vincent Redentor Isioro as Master of the ship and Barte Fajila as Chief Officer.

Others are Guarviva Roberto Jr Valiente, Batoon Edmunds Labuguen, Rebonso Orly Rodriguez, Salvoro Rolando Cerna and Dacanay Helarid Padron.
Others are Caligton David Balisong Busmion Brant Caryl Duran, Duterte Eduardo Lofranco, Maestre Jhuren Falogme, Toroy Maynard, Baldonado and Capri Nexan Aisa.
Still on the IMO List crew are:Bolivar Ronnick Domancas,Timajo Ruel Tejerero, Querio Robin Christopher Cajga, Atacando Rey Cellona, Tagalon Julius Jr. Cruz Jommel Magay, Ongenes Roger Sasing and Dagulo Elpedid Arellado.
Meanwhile a top official from the Port Health who preferred anonymity, affirmed that all crew aboard the ship are screened and observed without any suspected cases of COVID19.
According to him, all necessary checks on the crew were carried out diligently and personnel of the service were properly kitted in the line of duty.
