Unified Customs Management System Boosts Tin Can Command Revenue Drive In August

The Nigeria Customs Service , Tin Can Island Port Command has recorded a remarkable revenue generation of over ₦159 Billion in the month of August 2025.

According to the Command’s Customs Area Controller , Comptroller Frank Onyeka who disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday in Lagos during the decoration of newly promoted senior officers, the impressive feat was attributed to the successful implementation of the Unified Customs Management System, codenamed “B’Odogwu”.

Comptroller Onyeka credited the B’Odogwu system for the significant revenue boost, stating that the platform has come to stay as it has served the trading public effectively. This , he said underscores the system’s effectiveness in streamlining customs operations and enhancing revenue collection.

Meanwhile, the Command witnessed a grand celebration as promoted officers were decorated in a colourful ceremony that was packed with excitement and emotion.

The conference hall was abuzz with officers, relatives, friends, and journalists all gathered to witness the milestone moment.

The Customs Area Controller, led the decoration ceremony, assisted by other high-ranking officers, including Comptroller Joseph Anani and Comptroller Istifanus Musa.

The atmosphere was electric as officers from the deputy comptrollers rank and below were decorated with their new insignia, marking a new chapter in their careers.

Comptroller Onyeka kicked off the occasion by commending the Command’s performance and congratulating the promoted officers. He emphasized the importance of responsibility that comes with new roles, saying, “To those whom much is given much is expected ”.
