The President, United Apostolic Church of Christ (UACC) Worldwide, Reverend Dr. James Bayo Owoyemi has emphasized the importance of godly marriage in christians home, saying that divorce is never an option but setbacks.
Dr. Owoyemi who doubles as the General Overseer , UACC stated this in a chat with journalists on Sunday shortly after the thanksgiving service at the end of the supreme executive council meeting held in Lagos.
In his sermon, the cleric described marriage as one of the best gift from God adding that the bible did not condemn those who preferred to be single.
Speaking on the topic “Rewards for those that diligently seek God”, the President affirmed that “Divine reward is God approval to shine. God reward his people because God has standard that cannot be compromise. What ever a man sows, he reaps.”
Continuing, Dr. Owoyemi stated that God gives what his followers deserve, noting that the best thing for any individual to do is to worship God.
He frowned at marriage being endured by couple saying, it should be enjoyed by husband and wife.
According to him, the greatest reward is for christians to make heaven, even as he urged them to ensure that they put God first before anything , thus ” Be faithful in serving God.”
He affirmed: “Marriage has to start from the formation and beginning, when the foundation is weak, the building will collapse.
“Devil hates marriage because devil will always want to confront marriage. Ungodly marriage collapse because they fail to bring God in that marriage. Divorce is satanic and divorce is always bitter. Let’s make sure we love our wives and our husbands in a godly way ,”he added.
While admonishing young christians to shun all forms of social vices through the use of social media , Dr. Owoyemi maintained that the youths should avoid all forms of selfishness and all forms of greedy intentions.
He stressed that the youth play critical roles in the country and must not be taken for granted by the political class.
On his part, Pastor Joseph Oluwatuase, General Secretary, UACC Worldwide, expressed satisfaction over the year’s youth conference saying that the word of God is of paramount for christians.
He called on marriage couples in christainity to strike a balance in the way of the Lord by building godly homes as part of effort to get divine rewards.
During the youths conference on Saturday, Pastor Emmanuel Olorunyomi: Deputy General Secretary, United Apostolic Church of Christ Worldwide in his lecture , spoke on the topic:”What makes godly marriage rewardable” , affirmed that there is positive reward for such union.
Olorunyomi who doubles as the Chairman, Local Organising Committee LOC, called on the youths to always seek the face of God in furtherance to obtain favour from the Him, adding the “You will be sharpened in area you think you are weak.
He also stated that sexual satisfaction is one of the reward for Godly marriage as couples don’t have to look elsewhere for such pleasure.
Director of Media, UACC Worldwide, Pastor Paul Erakhifu who spoke on “Impact of social media on our youth”, urged them to do business with social media platforms and not social vices like fraudulent and impersonation . He faulted the way and manner youths are using the social media for negative purposes.
Erakhifu further described youth as the ages between 18-24 barrack, saying that UACC social media platforms has continued to grow beyond expectations.
He said “Positive impact usage of social media enable youths to be updated on happening around the world. It enable youths to network without meeting physically.
On the disadvantages, he said “Negative impact on youth is that” Some people are faceless, 419 fraudster kidnappers etc and can cause more harms than good if we chose to go that way”.
Samuel Olarenwaju Areji, National Youth Director UACC Worldwide, stated that the annual conference for youth is focused to guide the young ones on the need to put them in the right way.
Areji stated that the conference was centred to sensitize the youths against social vices pointing out that the youths are the target of the devil.
He further urged the youths to be heavenly cultured and pray for God’s guidance and protection, mostly as it concerns transgressions.
