The Local Organising Committee of the International Tourism Transport Summit and Expo 2019 on behalf the Institute of Tourism Professionals (ITP), in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Transportation and the Federal Ministry of Information and Culture, is set to hold between Monday 28th and Tuesday, 29th April, 2019.
Chairman, Local Organising Committee, Chief Biodun Odusanwo disclosed this in a statement made available to newsmen in Lagos.
According to the statement, the event is expected to draw stakeholders and operators in the tourism, hospitality, transportation, financial Institutions, the public and International community to brainstorm to move the industries forward .
The events will offer a unique opportunity for policy makers, regulators, entrepreneurs, key players in both the tourism and transport sectors of the economy, Investors, numerous esteemed customers ”
“It is expected to draw the general public estimated at 5,000 to engage in an all participatory discourse aimed at chatting the desired synergy, collaboration and connective inter-play between the two sectors for maximum economic benefits of the country.”
The International Tourism Transport Summit and Expo is tagged “Tourism and Transportation Interdependency For Inclusive Growth And Sustainable Development”
It further added that, other targeted participants include airlines,tour and travel operators, administrators of the aviation industry; the maritime industry which includes: sea transport, boats and sea cruising operators; road transportation (Transport Owners, Car Hire Services, Uber, NURTW, RTEAN) etc
Others are road traffic and safety agencies (FRSC, NPF, NSCDC, Motor Insurance Cos); state transport ministries and agencies; rail transport service providers.
Others are operators of the tourism and hospitality industry including resort operators, national parks services.
Museums and monuments, state tourism ministries and boards, festivals and tourism event managers; hoteliers, restaurants and fast food operators; conferences and social event managers; as well as service providers in the banking, oil and gas industries.
